All Currencies and Materials in Anime Adventures

Anime Adventures has more currencies than you'd expect, and mixing them up will cost you. Gems aren't gold, star fragments aren't evolution materials, and spending the wrong one on the wrong thing sets you back days. Here's what everything does and how to farm it.

Gems — The Premium Currency

Gems are for banners, and banners are for limited units. Don't spend gems on anything else — not gold, not revival items, not cosmetics. You get them from daily logins, stage rewards, and events. Save every single one for limited banners. The game throws enough free units at you that you don't need to pull on every banner that shows up.

Gold — The Workhorse

Gold pays for unit leveling, breakthroughs, and basic upgrades. You'll never have enough. Best farming spots are high-level stages with good gold-per-energy ratios. Gold boost units help a ton — even a modest boost adds up over a farming session. Don't waste gold on the rotating shop unless it's something you genuinely need right now.

Star Fragments

Star fragments are used for stat boosts and limit breaks. They drop from harder stages and as raid rewards. Mid-game is when you'll start feeling the pinch — you'll have plenty early on and then suddenly run out. Use them selectively. Your main DPS unit gets first dibs, always.

Evolution Materials

Each evolution needs specific materials, and they vary by unit type and rarity. You'll farm most of them from evolution-specific stages and raids. Plan ahead — check what materials your next evolution needs before you start farming. Nothing worse than evolving the wrong unit because you had the materials ready and got impatient.

How to Farm Each One

The Stages Guide has the best farming routes for each material. Looking to evolve a specific unit? The Evolution Guide lists what you need.
